Seem to remember that was similar to First Blood

First Blood is the best, but the new Rambo pushes it.

Rocky wouldn't fight to the death. He is a sportsman not a warrior.

Personal preference is the second movie. I know its not the best script or necessarily the most OTT, but there's something about it that I find compelling.

I quite liked the forth one "Rambo". I never really thought much of Sylvester Stallone, until I caught the last bit of First Blood on TV once. He was quite a touching actor. I also watched Cop Land, and that, I thought, was pretty good.

First Blood and especially Rambo seem darker and more realistic, however Rambo 2 is a classic in it's own right. Forget character development, just oil him up & send him in, armed to the teeth with all manner of crude and impractical weapons, rocket launcher not with-standing. Add to this an awesome score and the mighty Russian Hind, combined with some ridiculous quotes & you've got yourself a great 80's film to watch.

out of them all i thought 1st blood the most possible to happen!
once you get away from the slight over the topness i liked the message that a lot of vietnam vet's were pretty much dis-owned by much of the u.s simply becouse they lost a war they could never have won! the story of one man simply snapping after being ill treated just becouse he's a "drifter" really appealed to me!

ok the 1st time i saw it i was about 7 and thought his knife was cool!
but it was a refreshing change from the generic action plot of "they kidnaped/killed/injured my wife/girlfrand/daughter/brother so i'm gonna single handidly kick the crap out of their army/gang/country/alien race" that was about at the time

Indeed. Very original.

Has anyone heard about the 'Son Of Rambo' film that is coming out very soon at the cinemas and the film is set in the early 80's?
