I loved my Adidas Option RL I had when I was at school, till I nearly broke my ankle playing footie in them.
Frigging hell, they were big trainers.

I always used Reebok. Every pair of Nike I had fell apart in less than 6 months.

This seems to be a universal truth. Nikes were nice soft leather, but the only pair I ever had disintegrated.
Generally we stuck with Adidas and Puma.

I've got a pair of Gola at the moment... would never have dreamed of wearing Gola when I was a kid like, but it's cool now because they're retro!
I used to prefer trainer "boots" to tranier "shoes", they seemed to be all the rage when I was a kid. I remember having some fantastic boots, oncluding a pair of "Arrrow" and several pairs of "Pony"...

Not as humiliating as getting your arse tanned with one though.

I had Reebok Pumps....they were great, until the time I SNAPPED MY ACHILLES TENDON while wearing a pair on a school sponsored walk.
I put my foot down a rabbit hole after about nine miles, heard and felt a snap but carried on.
The support from the trainers was so good, I walked another ELEVEN MILES and finished the sponsored walk, and then walked another FIVE MILES home.
Then I deflated the Reeboks.
Oh...my...god.
