STAR TREK 2
KHAAAAAAAAN!
i couldn't resist that!
this movie is a classic. easily one of the best Trek movies (as i said on another post, on par with TMP directors Edition.) Who else agrees with me?
got the pd game for the amiga by the amazing Tobias Richter.
amazing animation and graphics for a homemade game
Khan....I'm laughing at the 'superiour intelect'!

Re: STAR TREK 2
Maybe if Kan and Kirk had sat down and discussed it over a couple of pieces of toast , they might have been able to come to an amicable solutionJetSetWilly wrote:KHAAAAAAAAN!

1-4 are excellent examples of a trek movie done good. 5 wasn't too bad. could have been better.
6 was a return to Trek movies of old: strong plot, loads of action and it made you think, too.
didn't like Generations at all. Too slow. liked First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis, though.
I still say you can't beat Kirk and Co. for a damn good movie, though.
'I don't believe in a no win scenario'........same here!

4 is the worst Star Trek movie ever made, the actual story idea could work well, but they spent far to much time in the "past" and tried to make it funny but failed.JetSetWilly wrote:1-4 are excellent examples of a trek movie done good.
I like all the other ST movies, some more than others, but if I never see 4 again it won't be a great loss...

i'll have to disagree there. the humour from the original series is what, in my eyes, made the movie. it would have been really boring otherwise. 'are you sure you wont change your mind?' 'is there something wrong with the one i have?'Opa-Opa wrote:4 is the worst Star Trek movie ever made, the actual story idea could work well, but they spent far to much time in the "past" and tried to make it funny but failed.JetSetWilly wrote:1-4 are excellent examples of a trek movie done good.

'what does it mean by exact change?'. you dont get lines like that anymore. it always has to be around parts of the female anatomy (which i do find funny, but they grate after a while.). So, even though humour like this is old fashioned, it works well as it ties nicely with the Fish-out-of-water storyline

what does evryone think of the ongoning storyline from II-IV? you know, Khan to Spock's death to saving him from Genesis (and Phil Collins), Commander Kruge, to San Francisco 1986 to Exact change buses and Whales.
thought it was a good idea and one that hasnt been done well since (Matrix trilogy, im looking at you!)
