Fave POLICE ACADEMY film and character?

Post by EvilArmourKing » Tue Jun 26, 2007 7:11 am

Without checking, I believe there are 6 films (to date) in the series, and was wondering what everybodys views are on the films.

Oh, and who is/was your fave character??

For me, it has to be Jones - I'd have a field day if I could make sound effects like that.

I also like Mahone (think may be spelling that wrong).

Great up until PA3, and then all downhill from there!

What are the odds we see a remake in the next few years - what with Hollywood going on a nostalgia trip at the moment! Cant' personally see another sequel, but if they started from scratch again - who knows, it may be half watchable at the very least!

Tackleberry.

He was a lunatic.

Not sure which film it is, but the first time he meets his girlfriends family is dead funny.

Don't say that too loud, EAK, Hollywood will hear you ;)

Although that Reno 911 whatever it is seems to be very Police Academy in style from the clips I've seen so far...

Mine is that woman with the squeaky voice who reminds me of Macy Gray.

My favourite character is the black guy who does the hilarious sound effects.

Jones ......... he's also my fav - especially in the one where he does the robot impression ('TARGET HUMAN' [makes mechanical robot noises] ......... 'MISSION DESTROY!') - I think it was from Police Academy 5 (not sure though)

all the films are so similar - the scene with the Sergeant (or is it captain?) showering with superglue was pretty funny

Ensemble of all of them, it wouldn't have worked otherwise.

Remember the Mission to Moscow one? With the Tetris game?

For some reason it was #4, only cos it was Captin Harris' finest hour...

News of two maverick skate boarders...

Tracking the perps down, Proctor lets rip with the sirens...

I like him too.

When you first see him in the first film he's in the police station and makes the machine gun sound. Also his kung fu character complete with bad voice syncing is funny too. :)

The first one's fine but all the rest just get dafter and dafter, my favourite character though is Sgt. Callahan.

Jones was my favourite but Bubba Smith (the huge guy) was pretty good (great american football player in the 70's also)

As a kid i loved the first film, second wasnt bad but then it just went downhill and downhill sadly.
