Least JCVD isn't going to be in Transformers! YAY!

But this will be a much better film - Dancing robots was a step too far.

Good Start :D I've also heard that the actor who provided the orignal voice for Optimus Prime is also doing the voice for Optimus Prime in the Live Action Movie. Another good start. :D

That would be Peter Cullen, who has spent most of his life doing voices for cartoon characters.

The actual "Transforming" sound effect is also going to appear in the movie, and can be heard in the trailer when Optimus Prime is transforming.

I think this is a bit naff to be honest.

But, I was one of many schoolkids that would love using the sound effect in the playground, especially after I transformed from schoolkid into schoolkid with a detention!

Looks a bit too dark for the kiddies...

...and it's obviously intended for the family market :?

I have to say I'm unexpectedly excited about this movie.

I had a few transformer toys when I was a kid and I watched the odd episode of the cartoon, but I was never really a fan. The toys were cool because they were ingeniously designed. I do remember being concerned about the changes of scale - how could a giant robot 'transform' into a little gun?

BUT, watching the trailer, especially the urban stuff, wow! :D I really do want to see massive robots fighting on the streets of a city, banging into towerblocks etc. I do get the feeling I'll be seeing this one with the boys rather than with the wife, though!

Yeah, I wouldn't take a female - they'll have a problem with the Volume, I can single handedly guarantee it.

Why does there have to be a Love Story in a film like this, I mean for christ's sake!

If I want romance, I'll read Jodi Picoult or Jane Austen.

See, this is the Number 1 reason why I prefer Foreign films, cause they don't seem to have a law written that EVERY single action film, has to have some kind of petty and wholly contrived romantic undertones init!

Action needs to be ACTION.

If I want to see guys and girls getting it on, well - I have a different kind of DVD collection just for that

Got nothing against the lovely Mega Fox (hey, she's brunette!)

I just don't want to see her hookin up with another guy.

When you see that happening (as in real life) you know that it's going to be even more of a chore to hook up with them!

It is just so un-necessary in almost EVERY film (especially action films/event movies).

How about being frickin original, just one time.

It's nice to have a foxy lady or two, but there is NO NEED for all the soppy relationship crap that bores the hell out of me.

All the time showing these kids making out and talking fluffy rabbits (I blame Opa Opa), when we could be watching robots kick the crap out of each other!!

Posible because it takes less money to make a 'talking fluffy rabbits' scene than it dose to make an ass kiking robot scean!

Wow wow and wow, I havent been excited by Transformers for about 15 years!!

From what I have read as well if this movie makes enough money at the box office two sequels will be given the green light by Dreamworks, and the people involved with this one have already signed up to do them.

Also I know that they wanted the human element to be strong in this film, and show the autobots as empathetic towards humans and their emotions, so that might be why we have a (yawn) love story.

But who cares about that, Im looking forward to massive robots trashing cities and fighting each other - yippee!!!!!
So long-a Bowser!

As long as the film is as good both story and soundtrack wise as the animated movie, I'll go and see it since the animated movie is one of my favourite films.
