How to achieve best screen resolution on GameCube

Post by Superchunk72 » Thu Mar 31, 2016 5:02 pm

What is generally accepted as the optimum screen resolution on a GameCube & how best to achieve it please? On the Wii I recall using a Nintendo component cable which went into the AV Multi socket on the rear of the Wii, but I've read it isn't compatible with the GameCube. Is there an equivalent for the GameCube or is SCART as good as it gets? Thank you

There is an official component cable available for the GameCube, problem is they're uncommon and stupidly expensive.

GameCube DOL-001 (region free modded or ntsc-u) using official component cable and ntsc-u games will yield a 60hz progressive scan picture. This is the best the GC hardware can produce natively.

Expensive set up but oh so worth it. :)

If you want to investigate further I believe there is a hdmi mod available but I know nothing about it other than it exists.
