Don't think so. Beef flavour are in multipacks with pickled onion and flamin' hot.

Tricky one this......

Smiths Roast Beef were excellent as I recall.... but I think I would have to go for Walkers Pickled Onion and Flaming Hot.

Of course the pickled onion would have to be in a sandwich for me to get the maximum enjoyment out of them.

My first post of the retro gamer forum and it is about crisps :?

The other flavours are quite nice. Flamin' hot are actually quite delicious and Pickled Onion, while not in my opinion as nice as the original Smiths ones, are nice and tangy (how they hell do you describe crisp flavours??? ;) ).

Try this sandwich. you need one pack of flamming hot monster munch, 3 pieces of bread, chesse and branstons sandwich pickle (Non chunky). You can probably figure the rest out, but it makes a great sandwich. Haven't tried it with the Roast Beef flavour yet though.

Do you guys remember the monster 'bits' on the backs of packs, like eyes & stuff, were you supposed to cut them out & make your own monster or something?

No I dont think so, I think it's only Pickled Onion that comes in multipacks on it's own right now. Roast beef only comes in the multipack with the other 2

I have a small memory of Smiths moster much and remember them being HUGE. Though I also remember the hot monster munch, didnt they do that JUST before Walkers bought the brand? They also did good ads, I remember one advertising bike lights and this thing that made sounds on your bike too which you could send off for. It was great, adverts are not as awesome as they used to be XD

Smiths, blatantly, for size if nothing else.

Didn't they have some banned ingredient in them, though? They don't make them like that any more!

Smiths all the way. Anyone remember the dodgy TV adverts for them with the big furry monsters and also Monster Fizz (the monster munch pop sideline)?
Retrotechy.

Similar experience here! The little blue bag was always at the bottom of the packet and I had to go searching through the crisps to find it. Even when I tried being sneaky and opened the packet upside down, it was still somehow at the bottom... :? :x

I bought a multi-pack of Monster Munch last week - Sadly I got the most terrible indigestion (probably the flaming hot ones!) so I'll be sticking to the 'Tesco Salt n Vinegar' in the future! :)
