I never really dug Airwolf, I've always enjoyed the film version of Blue Thunder though.

Both were great fun, although I seem to have more of a preference for Airwolf.

If I ever owned a 'copter - it'd have to be that one

Too bad that the game was one of the most annoyingly frustrating games ever released

The theme tune to Airwolf was brilliant.

Cool tune, complete mindless action. And the prototype for Ace Rimmer. Nice.

I thought Top Gun was the inspiration for Ace Rimmer?

Decent series, but classic theme tune.

Airwolf was great!

:D
What was more amazing to me was the challenge of making it work on the less capable Commodore 64. It was a real nightmare implementation, but I did it. - Archer Maclean

Damn, I didn't know they changed the original actors in this show!

I remember in the original show it was Jan Micheal Vincent and the old guy - his name currently escapes me!

But, I looked it up on the Tube - just to hear the theme tune and saw the original cast had been replaced!

When did that happen?

Cracking show.

Many a happy Saturday was spent as a kid watching this, the A Team, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, et al.

Always wanted to see Airwolf going up against Kitt from Knight Rider. Who would win?

Nah, Airwolf versus Blue Thunder... Vegas odds have Blue Thunder the favourite, blasting that moody sod's cello into pieces with its big 30mm cannon ;)

I think Ernest Borgnine was the co-pilot.

Loved Airwolf :D

Blue Thunder wouldn't last 2 ticks against Airwolf though!!

The only thing that annoyed me about all these early afternoon yank action shows was although rockets and guns were being fired all the time - they only made the baddies jump higher and land in bails of hay - never seemed to KILL anyone :?

See, if I was trying to take over the world*, step 1 on my Plan for World Domination would be - HIRE GOONS WHO CAN SHOOT STRAIGHT ;)
