Eastern European on UK TV for kids - help!

Post by piginapoke » Mon Jul 08, 2013 2:35 pm

This is a long shot but in the 70s there were a lot of imported kids shows from Eastern Europe. Im looking to identify a particular one but rather than me trying to describe it, can fellow retro readers name the programmes they know of this type? I will google likely candidates and be eternally grateful if someone names it. Help please !

i was going to say something like BOD,but after looking it up it's british so without a description see if any names ring a bell from here http://www.70scartoons.co.uk/

EDIT - it's not complete because i remember sport billy, intro here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huJlDsfXf5U which was made for germany first apparently.

Wasn't White Horses Yugoslavian?

And there were plenty of weird Iron Curtain cartoons on at 6am on TCC early 90s Sky. Not quite Worker & Parasite, but nearly.

I remember some pretty dark foreign cartoons, but no names spring to mind.

The Singing Ringing Tree [1957] - had a giant goldfish in it, prety weird
The Tinderbox [1959] - had a tinderbox? remember it vaguely

Both shows were German but had English narration, shown on BBC Tv in the 1960's and 70's
There were a few others similar.
GB COLOR, GBA SP, MD PAL, SF NTSC-J, SNES PAL, PS1 MOD, PSone PAL, SATURN NTSC-J, SATURN PAL, N64 NTSC-J, N64 PAL, DREAMCAST PAL, PS2 MOD, GAMECUBE NTSC-J, GAMECUBE PAL, Wii PAL, XBOX 360E PAL.
