well ..... it ws sort of GATCHAMAN .....

all the "language issues" from keeyop and some of the more violent action was taken out, that's why we got 7-ZARK-7 and 1-ROVER-1 as filler
oh and this
WHY ISN'T THIS A LIVE ACTION MOVIE???
with JUSTICE - AUDIO VIDEO DISCO as the soundtrack?????????????
DAAAAAAAAAAAAMIIIIIIIIIIIT

as for what cartoons i watched ..... pretty much all of them .....

from WACKADAY and THAT'S ALL FOLKS to CITV and BBC CHILDRENS

cosgrove hall is probably my fav animation studio, with their tremendous output ..... CHORTLE AND THE WHEELIES had me in stiches
but my favs one is probably SUPERCHICKEN and ROGER RAMJET

loved CENTURIONS too

in fact, the last series i watched before the more recent upsurge in cartoon watching ..... and that means PONY :D ..... was when skyone started showing POKEMON!

Chorlton, not Chortle.

Anyway, didn't see most of ITV's output.

Battle of the Planets was the best. Ulysses 31 and (the original) Thundercats. Alias the Jester. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Gummi Bears.

P.S. Fans might want to track down the one-off Top Cow crossover comic Battle of the Planets / Thundercats. They did do a few runs of Battle of the Planets as a monthly comic a few years ago. Fantastic artwork in the style of the cartoon - baggy flares and knicker-flashes all over - with some amazing painted covers by Alex Ross.

Ah I see. I heard something like that when I was talking to an American the other week.

Pokemon...back then was still amazing....too bad we never got those banned episodes (the Porygon one would have been a collectors item if it existed...I heard they burned it).

We must about the same age? (40ish?)

G-Force was the best.

I'd throw in Ulysses 31 too

Battle of the Planets was great when it was on once a week. I recently got a DVD collection of episodes and the amount of sequence re-use when you watch a few back-to-back is astonishing. The 'transmute' sequences for characters and vehicles, and subsequent docking montage, are re-used every episode, sometimes more than once. If it was shown today as regularly as Cartoon Network shows there'd be serious complaints.

As a youngster, I loved Mary Mungo & Midge, Mr Men, Mr Benn & Bod. As I got a bit older, I liked Wacky Racers, Dangermouse, Pink Panther & Dungeons & Dragons. I could name loads more, they were happy days...

I've got the battle of the planets DVD compilation aswell, it's still pretty cool. I watch it with my daughters and they seem to like it. I'd like to see Robotech again I never missed an episode, and collected the comics (super macros or something, still got some in the loft in their plastic wrappers) one old not-cartoon I'd love to see again is Starfleet, anyone remember that? It was a puppet show about giant space boats (galleons and skooners!!) in space and was very japanesey and weird. I loved it I wonder if it would be sh t now??
Scott me up beamie!
