THAT. That is awesome. Tyre shreddingly awesome! I'm thinking... TRACK NIGHT!!! Always wanted to play with a 147 GTA. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to own one but I'm feeling ever so slightly envious!

Nice find Boggy :) Thats a great price for a whole lot of car.
Cheers matey.. It is a beaut! Forgotten how well the GTA handles, esp with the Q2 dif.. :)

May do a track day if I'm brave enough.. ;)

Just happy to be able to go to the Alfa Club nights in an Alfa again.. Will save all the censored taking when I turned up in all other makes.. ;)

MrsCarlos has just bought this to use as her "little runaround".....

55,000 miles (checked), FSH, brand new alloys, decent sound system ...... £1200!

Why can't I ever find bargains like that?

Oh well, at least I get to drive it occasionally!
Very smart to look at those are. A bit heavy but nice to drive and a steal at the price.

That reminds me of a friend, also a member of the Scottish Section at the time, that bought a new MX5 and didn't have an Alfa. The chorus of Zoom Zoom Zoom whenever he attended an Alfa event was as deafening as it was hilarious. Hilarious to us that is, to him not so much

That Scirocco looks a really nice one DJC...

That looks to be in cracking condition! I work in sales for Alfa and we recently took a 156 GTA in P/X- what an awesome looking car. Proper racing engine as well- sounded fantastic.

I bomb along in my little MiTo :)

Slight problem with the Scirocco.....

I'm not a mechanic, so hopefully someone can help me out a but here.....?

You know the alternator / fan belt? It runs round three pulleys - the little one at the top attached to the alternator, then two bigger ones at the bottom.

Well, the one that actually drives the belt, the one attached to the cam belt case, has sheared-off so it's not driving anything any more. Anyone know what that pulley is called? I need a new one but without the name it's a bit tricky.

I know it's not the crankshaft pulley (I think that's inside the case?), is it just called the "crank pulley"? Wikipedia reckons it can be called the "harmonic balancer pulley" but I can't find either part online.......

Engine runs like silk, but a bit useless with no fan and nothing driving the alternator.

I'll stick with my partners '03 VW Golf TDI for the moment. When we have our own place I shall be investing in a nice Mark 5 VW Polo 1.4 Diesel for myself!

I know it isn't strictly topic-related but I didn't fancy starting up another help thread in off-topic so I was wondering if anybody could help me with this...

Basically I have a Mk5 Fiesta (yeah, nothing special I know but it's a nice drive and easy on the fuel :) ) with alloy wheels like this:
http://www.mondeospares.co.uk/ekmps/sho ... 1-99-p.jpg

What I'm looking for is the plastic centre bit with the badge on as mine has a big nasty scratch down it and since I'm a bit OCD about looking after my car, I want to replace it. Does anybody know where I can get one from? I'd do a search myself but I'm not even sure what it would be called or if (hopefully not) I'd have to buy the whole bloody wheel again.

Any help appreciated :)
