Any Big Country Fans?

Post by Rockford » Tue Sep 20, 2011 1:24 pm

I've always been a massive fan, from the early 80s stuff: The Crossing, Steeltown & The Seer
to the 90s stuff such as The Buffalo Skinners and Driving to Damacus.
Stuart Adamson (R.I.P) was such a talented bloke and they were a great live band.

Mike Peters from The Alarm is currently working with the band, taking over on vocals,
and a new album (the first in 12 years) with Steve Lillywhite producing will be out next year.
Obviously it's never going to be the same without Stuart, but the recent gigs with Mike got some excellent reviews.

I didn't know or own much of their stuff but I did love the song, King Of Emotion.

A bit of Lost Patrol Live with a guitar intro from Stuart.

And for Seadog74, an acoustic version of King of Emotion with
some girl with big knockers on backing vocals.

The singer Stuart Adamson is the closest thing Dunfermline Athletic FC have ever had to a celebrity supporter. I know this because they're my team.

I'm not a fan of Big Country though.

I am disappointed at the direction the thread has gone.

The film is epic and, as a western, has never been bettered.
