Your Top 100 Most Favourite Albums Ever

Post by TwoHeadedBoy » Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:41 pm

Colossal!

Dunno about the best albums of all time, but some of those are definitely the best NAMES of albums of all time!

Of the ones I've actually heard on there I really like, I'll have to track down some of the others especially these GREAT names...

"Trouble Over Bridgewater" "This Fool Can Die Now" "Zib Zob and his Kib Kob" "In a Priest-Driven Ambulance"

Awesome stuff. I may come up with a top 10 or 20 or something when I've some time later. :D

PS GREAT to have you back fella.

Dave, I've missed you so much - your enthusiasm for EVERYTHING is a wonderful thing :D

Zib Zob & His Kib Kob is one that I only own on vinyl, to my knowledge it can't be gotten on CD... BUT, it can be downloaded!

Aw nuts, I was afraid there'd be one of these. Now I must do one, too. Give me a day or two. A day or two.

Three things:

1. It's great to find Aphrodite Child rated so highly.
2. I must hear that Frank Zappa apostrophe album if it is indeed the case that there only exists fifteen albums which you consider superior. What's it like?
3. It's "Little Creatures", not "Creatures Of Love". I think.

Apostrophe's the one that starts with Don't Eat the Yellow Snow, and also has Cosmik Debris and Uncle Remus on it - souper, it is.

Much preferred your list to the original posters but I'm mainly an electronic music fan. Didn't realise there were people on here so much into music, good to see these lists popping up.

Oh and, yeah, Geogaddi is fantastic :) been into BoC since about '96 or so though, well, been into that sort of stuff since about '91 really....

That's funny, I prefer the original list. It's a lot more diverse than mine. I wish my tastes were so expansive - but then they wouldn't be my tastes, would they?

As a fan of hypnagogic electronic music, are you aware of this blog: http://www.glowingraw.blogspot.com

You can download all kinds of everything, but at the moment he's on a massive minimal techno bent. However, scour the archives for Belbury Poly, Demdike Stare, Bugskull and Black Moth Super Rainbow. If you've not yet heard any of them, you're in for a treat. If you have, let's be friends!

Wow, that's a couple of lists closer to my tastes than any music forums I've ever been on. The closest I got to doing a top 100 of all-time was a top 100 1992-2007, which is here:
http://rateyourmusic.com/list/TheAlex/_ ... nal_title/

Who's Next by The Who would probably be my favourite pre-90s.
