Bill Murray is a Legend

Post by SJ_Sathanas » Sun Jan 02, 2011 5:18 pm

I have seen two most awesome films this christmas/new-year, Groundhog Day and Scrooged.
I see on Wiki they're making a 3rd Ghostbusters, incidentally.

I think the best two films he did was Caddyshack & Stripes.

Caddyshack is on in 10 minutes on ITV3.

I haven't seen it in years, but it's excellent.

best apperance by murry in recent years..........."Its bill fuc-king murry!".............zombieland, not only great becasue it mixes comedy and zombies reallly well (only one since shaun otd) but its got, bill censored-ing murry in the worlds greatest cameo.

Oh , and scrooged is always good for a laugh

What About Bob? Is one of my favourite films ever, I used to watch it at least 1 a week as a kid.

Lets not forget Ghostbusters as well!

Although not as good a film,I actually find Murray more funny in the sequel.

Groundhog Day is a fantastic film! I don't think I've ever actually seen a bad film starring Bill - except Garfield, obviously. ¬_¬

Its not all good, he did also star in Lost in Translation (if star is a word that can be associated with something so dull).

Ghostbusters was a perfect fit for him though.

Stand out moments for me, excluding those mentioned, are Cigarettes and Coffee, Life Aquatic and Broken Flowers.

I can't think of a single role where I didn't enjoy Bill's character or indeed the film he was in.

Im glad someone mentioned Zombieland. I thought it was a brilliant cameo too. And one of the early scenes in Ghostbuster where he's testing the students for telepathy with electric shocks and always zaps the bloke

I forgot about Broken Flowers - that was interesting, for want of a better word. Loved the fact his friend is a black guy called Winston too (before the video game, this movie was the closest thing to Ghostbusters 3 I thought we'd ever get!).

I always make a habit of watching Scrooged every Christmas, but I didn't get around to it this year :(

Bah! LiT is a great film. And he must've done something right to be Oscar nom'd! Wouldn't see that happen if the film was poor...

I should've known better. Oscar nominations are like a big flag for dull films.

Good acting doesn't make a great film necessarily.
