There are so many programmes that I remembered watching during the 80s:

Pob's Programme
Sooty Show
Rainbow
Seame Streets
Thundercats
Visionaries
Transformers
Cities of Gold
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
Bravestar
Around the World with Willy Fogg
Racoons
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
Defenders of the Earth
M.A.S.K.
Wacka Day
Hart Beat
Rolf's Cartoon Club

Also, does anybody remembered Edd the Duck? He's such a quacker!! :o

I've started to watch Inspector Gadget again thanks to Boomerang! Great to see that cartoon after so many years!

I'm also recording every episode of the Earthworm Jim cartoon, and are thinking of transferring them from my sky+ box onto DVDs (the videos are very hard to get, and it's not available on DVD yet). They only made about 23 episodes, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem fitting them onto about 6 single or 3 dual layers (they're roughly 25 mins without the ads - these will be taken out).

I still remember that Inspector Gadget, but I thought the film version was terrible. :(

I've only recently just realised how bad the first film was (Disney made two of them, the second was a straight to VHS/DVD release). I remember going to the cinema to see it, and I only liked it because I thought it was funny. It was a VERY long time since I saw the cartoon that I ONLY remembered liking it (yep, that's how long it was!). Eventually I bought the video dead cheap at £1.99, and it was OK if you fancied watching something but had very little time (it was only on for about an hour). It was only until I started watching the cartoon again recently that I realised how bad the film was!

The only part that I still like in the first film was the 'visualise you goal' scene, where Gadget had to pick up two balls without seeing them but ends up hitting the old man's balls! That's the only reason why I still watch the video!

I've seen the sequel too. It was more true to the cartoon than the first one (Dr Claw never showed his face), it was in fact worse than the first one. Good thing I only rented it out!

Ah Boomerang. Where would I be without you. Dastardley and Mutley followed by Original proper full length Dangermouse. cartoon heaven!

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a copy of Cities of Gold....?

I haven't seen it since I was a kid and would love to found out if it is still as good as I remember.

I can't remember who actually coined the name "Randy" for me. it was in some thread a few months back. Maybe Hand Solo?

BTW where the hell has Hand Solo gone?
