Retro TV that nobody seems to remember...
Are there any television shows in the past that you really enjoyed, but nobody apart from you seems to remember them? this is a thread to post about and discuss these shows...and hopefully find someone else who actually knows what they were! Alternatively, if there's a show you remember everything about bar the title post a description and maybe someone will know what it is.
A TV show I loved when I was younger that nobody seems to know was Fantastic Max. Here's the intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dSJ2Y4iVus
I was probably a similar age to Max at the time so I guess the idea of a baby jetting off into space and having adventures was really appealing to me, I could relate! Also, anyone remember this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB3K7eFFXHE ?

I know Fantastic Max, yes. Hated him myself, but always watched it because... Because I'd watch anything that was a cartoon
His robot friend, my dad used to call him the Weetabix Man, so we'd be watching it and he'd enter the room and say, "Oh, the Weetabix Man..."
Now then, one I'm having trouble remembering the title of, not even the folks at the IMDB can help me on this one:
There's a galleon in space, with glass domes covering all the outside bits. When they go below decks, it's a weird garden place with big spiky plants, and that's all I remember. Oh, it's a cartoon, by the way. Same "time" (as in year) as Fantastic Max.

Not many seem to remember this one:

A few years ago this was absolutely HUGE in Japan, with a whole range of paraphernalia available.

I've seen that pink and black thing, but I can't remember anything about it.
Does anyone remember The Roman Holidays? It's an '80s cartoon:

@ TwoHeaded Boy -
It wasn't Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1c1G24GWDg
or Ulyses was it?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgJ4qYP44Rk
Both of these are worth remembering just on their own anyway.
Does anybody remember the Schmoo?

Sport Billy with his magic bag that had everything in it for every occassion. I've never been into football, but I always got the impression that he played for a Mexican club for some reason!bsg wrote:Aye, thats the one - people look at me like I am a crazy guy when I mention it... same with 'Sport Billy'... most people of my age are senile now I think, sighSquigs_Ghost wrote:With Fanella the Kettle Witch "That lovely little old lady". Things I remember that others dont:
Vikki the Viking
Henrys Leg (about a lad who finds a mannequin leg, I'm sure there was more to it than that)
Aubrey (red dude with a big nose, I think it was by the folk who do rhubarb and custard)
Mr Rossi (I think it was a french cartoon)
Fonz cartoon (I'm sure he had a time machine and a talking dog)

I've been sat searching online since I saw this thread for a cartoon that I (hopefully!!!!) remember watching as a small baldy angry person (ha! some things never change) - and it was about a kid who had magic chalk and drew a world that came to life... any ideas??

The main thing I remember about that is that the opening titles lasted for about 5 minutes!ismellicecream wrote:Mr Rossi (I think it was a french cartoon)

Used to love jayce and the wheeled warriors, quality power ballard style song on the intro, and Ulysees 31 (always thought it'd make a good movie in the right hands).
Also Centurions, Mysterious Cities of gold, galaxy rangers and mask, all my stable 80's cartoons diet.
Anyone remember, Capatain Power and the soliders of the future - pre-dates power rangers by a few years, about a hero solider and his team fighting the powers of lord dread, best character Micheal "Tank",Elli with his JJapanese inspired anime mech suit, quality.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M678PVOf5F0 - capatain power - actualy looking at the intro to centurions, its just a live action version of centurions, how strange you dont notice these things as a kid.
