The Princess Bride.
Love this film... Heroes. Giants. Villains. Wizards. True Love. - Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale.

Agreed, a fantastic film. Which baseball game is Freddie boy playing at the start?
The only part I didn't like was Billy Crystal (sorry)

Wonderful movie. It's inconceivable that anyone wouldn't like it!
Actually, a more recent movie in a similar vein is 'Stardust' which was a hugely enjoyable and pleasant surprise when I first watched it last year. I've now got it on Blu Ray and it's definitely worth a gander!

Have to agree with that, he just wasn't funny at all.
I absolutely love this film, like Labyrinth and Goonies it's one of those films that I grew up watching and can still watch today and really enjoy.
I got the special edition dvd for the g/f as a little christmas present back in December.

A great film which is very underrated.
Effects aren't good enough for the new generation though, tried to get my kids to watch it and they soon got bored!

I love this film and have been playing the DVD for my three year old boy, he loves Inigo and adopts a little sword fighter pose and says 'you kill my father, prepare to die!'. I know he's too young to 'get' the movie but the scary bits don't bother him and this film has so much charm and heart I figure that prolonged exposure to it at a young age will only benefit him in the long run. I think Westley/Man in Black/Dread Pirate Roberts is a damn fine role model.
My friend got me the novel for my birthday off Amazon and I read it in three sittings, really entertaining and significantly different from the movie, I'd heartily recommend it.
