Transformers, Anything TFs go here

Post by Protoman » Sun Nov 22, 2009 11:18 pm

While I am known for my insane gaming ways, I am first and formost a Transformers collector.

Like any child of the 80s, Transformers was a large part of my life and I feel it's what brought me into motor racing later on.............

Oh man I don't even know where to start....... 8)

They all come alive at night and so don't need dusting.

I'm in awe of the Star Saber standing on the second row. Do you have a Victory Leo to combine him with?

Do you consider yourself primarily a collector of the original series? I couldn't spot anything from the spin-off series that took place after G2.

I collect EVERYTHING (G1, G2, J-TF, UK-TF, BW, BM, RID ect), like I said, this is barely the tip of the ice berg behind me. I am a hardcore collector and well known within the fandom. Heck, google Protoman Transformers and tons of stuff will come up ^_^ Anyhow yeah I have Victory Leo.

Now thats an awesome collection. I love the G1 stuff, me and my brother kept all of our old Transformers and he collects pretty much everything that gets released. Whats your favourite Transformer? Mines probably Soundwave. Not sure why but I just love the design and the fact you can get loads of cool cassette robots for him (Rumble, Frenzie and Ratbat are my favs.) Got a Fortress Maximus?

Cant really see your TF's too well, there's some cool dood in the way, plus its low res.

Here is my TF collection as of june this year, in this thread:

http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtop ... 8&start=75

I've aquired more since then, I'm concentrating on getting a full TFC collection at the minute, without paying the extortionate ebay prices, so far I've added Meister (Jazz), Megatron, Soundblaster, Astrotrain, Hound.

I dont really like or bother with G2, beast wars, energon. I stick to G1, Universe/henkei, movie and animated.

Yeah I have Fortress Maximus and Brave Maximus (Sadly no Grand Maximus from Masterforce yet)

If you want to see more, I did an interview back before the 2007 for ERB. It has tons of images of me and collection before late 2008 (After the movie/Classics and so on, my collection grew to over 2500)

I got a fair whack of Transformers, spanning everything from G1 though to beast wars, and some of the recent stuff

me G1 stuff is largely knackered (multiple moves, lots of play) though have got a complete but not boxed Chromedome and an almost complete Hi Brow, Roll Bar, Topspin and Twintwist , Runamuck

Bludegon Nearly complete

Beast Wars includes a load of transmetals inc Air Razor, Optimus Primal (also got the beast machine version) stuff like Waspinator, Sonar

but some of the reissue stuff is now getting well good prices

no piccies to hand, but

God Ginrai (Powermaster Prime if you will) MIB
Unicron (Armada iirc) MIB
Smokescreen ( Subaru WRX) MIB
Megatron Robots In Disguise, Boxed complete but no plastic thingy/protector
Landfill (RID Combiner) all complete, have backing cards and instructions
XBrawn
Several G1 recent HK clones inc Menasor, Devastator and Superion

Its definately not the best collection, but its getting there..

I want a G1 Cyclonus, Trigger happy
The Artist Formerly Known as Ralph Milne's Left Foot :P

Wheres Gus Ceasar when you need him?... Pah!

Couple of nice things there.

Anyone have any major wants?

I want a complete TFC reissue collection - I'm getting there but I dont fancy the £100 + that Convoy (optimus prime), minibots and insecticons go for. I dont even fancy the £60 for perceptor.

I'm always after G1 boxes and accessories. I specifically want the shoulder mounts for Sunstreaker, and Wheeljacks ones.

OooOOOo I see a generation 1, Bandi - Hasbro cross over - Jetfire

in fact I see quite a few rare items, a truly astound collection!!

(however I dont see a Metroplex) does this transformer have another name?

Image

Also I dont see another Bandi - Hasbro/ToyBox cross-over "Omega Supreme" / "Mechbot 1"

Image

still an uber cool collection and most likely you have the aboves, just burried with all those awesome toys.

I miss my old transformers collection I had as a young child, had some rare ones two... like SunStreaker, Metroplex, Bandai/ToyBox branded Jetfire -
wiki wrote: * Generation 1 Omega Supreme (1985)

Released in the Transformers toy line in 1985, the Omega Supreme figure was unlike many other Transformers toys of the time. The incredible popularity of the Transformers forced Hasbro and Takara to look beyond old Takara and Bandai figures to fill out the line. A few figures, including Shockwave, Jetfire, Omega Supreme, Roadbuster, Whirl, Chop Shop, Venom, Barrage and Ransack were among the molds licensed from other companies. Omega Supreme was originally produced by a company named ToyBox under the name of “Mechabot 1.”

As the licenses to produce many of these toys are now expired, Hasbro and Takara no longer have legal rights to produce many of these figures. However, Takara merged with Tomy in 2006 to form Takara-Tomy. It was later discovered that Tomy possessed the rights to some of the ToyBox figures, including Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx. As a result of this discovery, Omega Supreme was reissued in 2008.[6]
now... lets setup a play day... I can bring my Side swipe, Dinobot collection.... what you gonna bring ismellicecreme ?
