Same as you mate.

I've got a couple more hardware items I really want, then I can finally concentrate on getting loads of games for my collection.

Dont get me wrong, ive prob got 1000 plus games across countless platforms, but for me its always gonna be fiddling about with pieces of obscure games hardware.
AND i do still play a lot of games as well, particually Atari stuff.
Anyone else think like me ?
I think I'm in the same boat! As far as I know, I'm the only collector of all variations of Philips videopac / Magnavox Odyssey2 consoles in the world... http://www.videopac.com/consoles.html

That's a great Master System collection - it was my first console and I'd love to start a similar collection of my own but living in a studio flat, it's just not practical! I'd be more into the hardware than the software myself if I did get the space though...

Ive still got a brand new , never been opened Dreamcast and a lot of unopened accessories to go with it.
Bought it all cheap when an old games store was closing many years ago ,

Not really, as its the model 2, and I only ever owned a model 1, so theres no real nostalgia with that particular model with me, so Ill just keep it for as long as I desire, before shifting it.

The sealed vol.1 demo disk that came with it however, tempts me day and night :(

But thats the best thing about the package, EVERYTHING is still sealed including the original demo disc

I usually preferred retro hardware over software, especially some of the Japanese systems (FM Towns, X68000, MSX TurboR). But, software is usually a lot easier to find, and a lot cheaper. I pick up based usually based more on price rather than specific games.

Another system that I had was the Super A'Can. Would've loved to develop a game for that.

I passed up an FM Towns marty a few years ago, always regretted it,
but for me its the hardware i love the best, switching it on for the first time and seeing the thing burst into life (hopefully)
