I'm going to have to confess to being a recovering Trekkie. I was out of the heavy stuff by the time Enterprise was released - I think I've seen maybe four episodes of that - and I missed most of the later seasons of DS9 and Voyager, but in my school days I was in deep.

I still check out the movies and I have some season box sets, but not many. It's an ongoing process.

I was (well, still am) a massive X-Files fan! Every Sunday evening I'd have it on on SkyOne :D

I've now got the complete collection on DVD :D

Always looked forward to Friday nights after school to watch "Round the Bend"

Great kids entertainment, that would never be allowed today!

Pipkins is the first TV show I can remember really looking forward to, used to rush home from school to watch it at dinner time.

Playschool was the first thing I can remember where I lusted over the presenter, does that count?

Later on I remember runs of Harold Lloyd and Monkey on BBC2 both fascinating me and also creeping me out a bit.

As a kid, sundays would always be POB, the stupid fat face puppet who would breath/spit on the screen and write his name, "P....O.....B.....heheheheh"

And after that it was either Wurzel Gumage, Lost in Space or Land of the Giants.

When a bit older, I used to love watching ULTRAVIOLET on C4, a late night police/crime/vampire/drama, ran for 6 episode (or maybe 8) with Jack Davenport in it. Kind of cool, a british cop show but with a vampire twist, always wanted a follow up to this series becasue it ended kinda funny and open for a second series.

I always looked forward to 'Tomorrow People' and reruns of the 50s 'Robin Hood' series and 'The Lone Ranger' that used to be shown on ITV during the kids programmes of the 70s. 'Planet of the Apes' was another series I would look forward to as was 'The Sweeney' (although I wasn't technically allowed to watch that but did so by watching from the landing through the bannisters :) ). By the late 70s it was 'Blakes 7' and 'Danger UXB' that were on my must see list.

As I got a bit older it was 'Dukes of Hazzard' and 'Buck Rogers' then in the 80s, 'The A-Team' and 'Blue Thunder' (I was probably the only viewer :) ).

Comedy-wise 'Monty Python' (thanks to my grandad for showing me the delights of surreal comedy), 'The Young ones', 'Only Fools and Horses', 'Blackadder', 'Not the Nine O'Clock News', 'A Kick up the 80s' were the absolute must sees.

It's amazing how much of an impact most of those must have had as I have many of the ones that have been released on DVD in my collection and frequently put one on for that warm fuzzy nostalgic feeling.
Cue the music, fade to black...

TIZWAZ was one of my favourite programmes as a child. I was in the studio audience on three occasions and yes, the Phantom Flan Flinger got me, lol!
