He-Man Jellies.

Post by David » Tue Sep 30, 2008 10:33 am

someone in work was talking about old sweets today after buying a Wispa, and I mentioned the brilliance that was He-Man jellies.

No one in my work remembers them at all.

They were He-Man branded jellies that came in a wee plastic mould and you popped the gummy sweet out of it. they were awesome and cost about 10p each

Surely someone on here will remember them?

I remember those, they were a bit too soft and wriggly for my liking :D I can't remember if they actually looked anything like any of the He-man characters though.

Loved these! I think they did some Real Ghostbuster ones as well! Ah, nothing like a lot of sugar and gelatine!

(if those were the ingredients, and if thats how you spell gelatine.........you get me though yeah?)

Deffo. I used to eat He-Man and Real Ghostbusters jellies all the time. They looked sod all like the characters but they were multi coloured and tasted nice so I didn't mind too much.

My internal organs have probably suffered major long-lasting damage from E-numbers as a result :(

I used to love them. Especially the multi coloured ones.

When we'd finished we put orangeade in them and froze them to make mini ice pops

I was just about to post about ET biscuits as well. I really miss brightly coloured food. As an educator, I can tell you with authority that these artificial colours had no part in producing badly behaved kids. It's bad parenting every time. Bring back purple biscuits!!! :)

I loved all those jellies, sherbet fountains, crisps, etc. etc. when I was growing up. My newspaper round money used to go on all that stuff at the weekends (but I drank Diet Pepsi).

I have the fillings to prove it!

I loved those jellies as a kid! Although, I found a pack (not He-man, nor Ghostbusters) in Woolies a few years ago and they were rank :(
