HELP ! 80s martial arts film!

I know martial arts movies have been mentioned on here so im hoping someone can help.

im trying to track down a film from my youth....

what i can remember:

1) the main guy is a gymnast expert and uses this when fighting.

2) the main storyline is that theres a race held in some remote place, and the owner and his men give the men a head start then chase them and kill them when they catch them. i think bows and arrows were used a lot.

3) one scene is when they have to go through a village full of weirdos who try to kill them with pitchforks and the like. and the gymnast gets on a stone block and does that thing gymasts do with their legs and keeps spinning to kill of the wierd folk.

4) the main henchman is a guy with a beard and a sword, who if memort serves correctly uses the word "bastard" quite a lot!!!

5) theres a scene with a rope bridge, ala indiana jones and the temple of doom.

I dont know if this will jog anyones memory?
