How about a Nice Wallplanner for 2009

Post by Greyfox » Fri Feb 08, 2008 7:13 am

Hi,

My name is Greyfox and I'm very new to the forum here...well this is my very first post..lol...I was wondering if at all possible to have a lovely new Wall planner come out with next January 2009 Issue..as EDGE magazine do this every year now for the last three years...I think it would be brilliant...coming from all the super Talent that lives at the Retro Gamer Offices...

and being a Digital Imagery specialist myself..I have done a bit of a mock up design...with the theme from old computers & consoles and classic game characters...I have search the internet for this type of thing..and no-one has done it or make anything worth looking at to hang on your wall...so Please..if you will allow me to present my version of my wall planner to you all..

this is a very low-res version..as the full version is 31"x23.5" at 300dpi..so it would be too big to fit in here unless you have a t1 connection..

enjoy and please I would love to hear so feedback on this thanks ;)

I've also made a A3 poster size calendar too...

I can't see the images just now (they get blocked at work and I'm on lunch break just now), but there are a couple of existing calendars on the go if you rummage throught the old threads.

There's a full on limited edition retro calendar by Rev. Pixel thats A3 landscape format.

There's also the Weekend Gamer King of the Quids calendar which can be bought from the Weekend Gamer website. This features a different game each month from a selection that we, the forum members, bought for a quid (you'd never have guessed).

It's nice, but I think you should change the word "sample" to say "crisps"...

I don't get this ..what I am I missing?

these are for display purposes only for the moment..
I just wanted to contribute something to all Retro fans out there..but if it's been done better..or if the cool guys at the magazine would consider making one for there magazine fan base in 2009...I would love to have one...than at least I can say I tried to do something for everyone..

I still can't see images, but I'm guessing its a reference to this thread and a couple of the responses in it:

Welcome mate. You'll get used to the Master, he's the modern equivalent of a village idiot  .
No, he's got a strange sense of humour but he does brighten this place up.

I really like the wallplanner and will email you for the image.

If you are wanting to help out 'the scene' then I am sure us Weekend Gamer guys could do with some artistic help every now and again :)
(as the censored poor attempt at a banner below proves).

I think your design is rather good & I'd love to get hold of one of your wall planners - I'll sort you out of course (with money, beer, films, music or games) if you want me to.
