Which is the first video game to use multi-player on the same screen?
And which first video game to use split-screen multi-player 2 or more?

Street Racer on SNES got 4 player split screen.
Surely some other games had it before that though?

First split screen game is Drag Race; a 1977 arcade game. It was later ported to the VCS as Dragster.

Leathernecks on the ST/Amiga was 4 player on the same screen.

Warlords on 2600 was 4 player on one screen I think

Capture the Flag (by Sirius) had two player splitscreen...
