How about vid.me instead of youtube?

I miss the videos guys!

If you migrated the videos to vid.me, after i think 50 subscribers, vid.me allows you to monetize the channel by adding a subscriber fee. (i think a 1.99 or more). Similar to say, patreon, but for a video channel. A 1.99 for a 10-15 minute episode is something i would definitely sign on for.

And thanks for the great article about Nobuo Uematsu in 169. Really great stuff there, that is top shelf journalism that really keeps me coming back to this print. Keep it up lads!

Eh? Pay for a preview of the mag? Is that something people would do??

I pay for the mag - I would NOT pay for a preview video

It's more than a preview, it's all the personality, quips, and whit that are not able to be portrayed in the print. I mean we wouldn't have the vertical spread joke without it, and the dig dug / Mr Do paradox without it. And, by jove, I do love the vertical spreads. The active semi-arguements too. I miss the videos they were fun especially as I went through the print after watching, thinking to myself, "aye Darren was right," or "that Drew lad, he made a fine point there."

Vidme unfortunately does not have such a substantial userbase as YouTube. I'm not saying it's a bad suggestion to upload to there though, as Vidme is probably my favourite of the current video uploading platforms, since Dailymotion went completely downhill from 2015 onwards. You could possibly do both, and maybe feature some content that is exclusive to each platform or something like that.
