I visited Anco once... there office... well... it wasn`t really an office as such...

It was a big portakabin on blocks... funny... as inside were PS2 dev systems, bunch of programmers etc... All that expensive stuff inside an old portakabin!!

I met Anil... nice fella he was... wonder if his dog is still alive ? I was there with Steve Screech.. staying round his place because the following day we were going to Gloucester for a Kick off 2 tornament.....

I miss Anco... and their innability to do something else other than dodgy football management games!!
Now.. if only they had done the proper Player Manager 2, and not that toss they come up with :( I would be a happy man..

I still have the one and only advert for the original PM2 I ever saw...
It would of been impressive going by the list of stuff that was going to be in it !

awww :(

'Anirog' is one of those words that sounds like it should mean something when written back to front, but doesn't.

retr0nut - yes, that's pretty accurate, I was working with Anirog at the time. I know this thread is really old, but I did want to add to it that Roger Gammon (the Rog in Anirog) was an absolutely lovely guy, I still think of him to this day. He was my first contact with the daunting world of computer game programming when I were but a wee lad, and I really got lucky.

I hope some day there will be a feature in RG on Anirog. The most I read about them was from an interview that was done with them in an old issue of Home Computer Weekly (around 1983 time), speaking to both Anil and Roger.

Good to hear from you as well Sam... I don't suppose you are in touch with any of Roger's sons who did a number of the C64 games?

Additionally - does anyone know anything about this Anirog game that never quite made it? ...

Nearly 3 years on and still I don't recall seeing a feature on Anirog unless I missed it.
I realise that with the 2 founders both passing away it makes it difficult but a feature on their games and maybe reaching out to the games authors who are probably in their 40's or 50's are still around would be great.

I'm currently in touch with someone who may be able to help... Fingers crossed.

And great supporters of the criminally undervalued C16 too!

Do a double-feature with Kingsoft at the same/next time?
Oh, and you _need_ a boxout on the 737 Flight Path music; simply hypnotic.
