Your Buys of 2006

Post by Lindopski » Tue Jan 30, 2007 7:10 am

What stuff have you bought during the last twelve months or so, any classics or all new stuff ?

I bought an Atari ST last year off Ebay though so far IU have had very little time to actually use it as Uni Assigns have been coming in thick and fast and real life is taking all my free time up. plus the fact I have no software for it yet is a bit of a bind lol.

I bought a ruck of games for my Atari 2600 and a pile of Spectrum games for my +2 (my 48k seems to have died the keyboard no longer responds).

I bought one of those C64 DTV jopystick thingys too.

I also bought my first PS2 ( I was an Xbox fanboy)
its a great machine and some classic games out there for it.

I was given 2 Playstation 1's, One chipped :)
I was also given an Athlon XP2600 PC with 1gig ram and a DVD rewriter , and a 120GB drive , most generous.

I bought a laptop (advent 7096 is it?) for Uni work,a pocket PC Ipaq H5550 for general retro'ing and I got a GP2X for more retro'ing at Christmas.

I also got myself a Nintendo Wii In December and an Xbox 360 In January.

I am now skint... lol

I think the buy of the year is the GP2X though the Wii is very close due to the innovation behind it , it is THE CONSOLE for party's of which we seem to have a few.

I bought a Wii and a 37'' HDTV.
I now play Super Mario Bros in all its enlarged pixellated glory :D
Oh, and a DS lite.
Last year (2005) was a bigger retro year for me, purchases of yet another Amiga, some NES/MD/SNES carts. This year has been about next-gen retro like the Wii and DS. :)

Not sure I got much last year.

I got a NES with 6 games, a zapper and a carry case for £15, but I thinks thats it.

This year has started well though with a Vectrex for £25.

Probably the DS Lite I bought January 2006.

So many good games, and lots of great updates to classics like Mario Kart, Kirby and Super Mario Bros.

Jeez! Am I the only person on here with a mortgage!!??

I did manage to stretch the coffers enough to get some bits and pieces, most notably an N64 just before Christmas - I'm loving Wave Race and Diddy Kong Racing :D

Today I got a copy of Darius Gaiden for Saturn for under a tenner inc p&p which has pleased me, so 2007 hasn't started too badly!
