Gamecube and Dreamcast on a monitor
Is it possible to play the Gamecube and/or Dreamcast on a monitor? I sit at my PC desk of an eve and have a spare LCD monitor on the desk next to me. I'd like to hook the Dreamcast and/or Gamecube to it. I'd prefer playing it on that than on the TV.

There's a VGA box for the DC that will do it. Pricey these days, keep an eye on ebay.

Would that work for the Gamecube as well?

No, its a DC specific bit of tricks, as the DC outputs a VGA signal, it just needs the box to configure the output appropriately.
You can get generic AV to VGA boxes, but the conversion process tends to give a less sharp and crisp image. A cheap one of those would work on any system as they take simple composite/s-video and sometimes even RF inputs.
I've used one with my Cube and it was passable, but no match for a normal CRT connection.

You can get an NTSC GameCube (maybe PAL too - unsure) to output to VGA using a modified digital cable (Dterminal/component).
