I'm the same, especially with the old retro classics. I've bought a fair few but they're currently deleted from my HD. I get bored with them after about five minutes. Great games back in the day when we knew no better but these days games like Galaga have nothing interesting to offer the player after the first few goes.

Achievements don't matter to me if the game is about going for score. Score rules all. Leaderboards rather than achievements is what I say. Many XBLA achievements boil down to lots of faffing about in direct opposition to the actual aim of the game (completeing a zone on Assault Heroes without killing 50% of the enemies etc) or involve co-op modes, which I'm just not that interested in.

Does anybody still play Space Giraffe btw? Had a go this morning and there's not a lot of movement on the leaderboard.

Space Giraffe has been found out, hence the leaderboards stagnating though. Totally agree about leader boards though, Pinball FX and the older games really benefit. I think they missed a trick with the triggerheart keader boards, having to achieve a minimum score is ok, but when you cant see your friends scores loses its worth in my eyes

First full 1000 I managed to get was King Kong when I got my 360 at launch.
Last game I got all the achievements for was this Monday for Super SF2 Turbo HD Remix which was a nice mix of tough and fun achievements (with the 100 online wins the most fun to achieve).
I tend to try and get at least half of the achievements for a game, and then the more I can get after that the merrier.

Not really bothered with the achievements much on the 360 so far (although I've only had it since Christmas and haven't played it much yet).

I've got all PS3 trophies for Burnout Paradise, Little Big Planet and Linger in Shadows though. Desperately trying to get 100% in Super Stardust HD and Wipeout HD but they're REALLY difficult.

Stardust sure has some tough trophies, the multplier chain was quite a challenge to snag, I usually do really well then mess up on the 2nd or 3rd boss, I still gotta get the multiplayer trophie as well. Sweet game though.

Yeah, I always mess up on the multiplier chain when I'm on around x8 or x9. Very, very frustrating! I absolutely love the game though :)

Just got my first full achievements on Lego Indiana Jones - 1000/1000! It's also the first game that I've completed since Citadel on the Elk.
