Super Mario Kart (SNES) (PAL)

Post by RetroEd » Thu Dec 01, 2005 7:32 pm

(Copied my post from another forum)

Just booted up my SNES to see what times I managed on SMK all those years ago...

Time Trials (Mario Circuit 1 & Ghost Valley 1).

Best Lap:
Mario Circuit 1 - 0'12''90
Ghost Valley 1 - 0'13''97

Best 5:
Mario Circuit 1 - 1'06'88
Ghost Valley 1 - 1'11'24

How does that compare to any of you guys if you still have your copy? :)

*wonders how much longer it will take before the battery back up data disappears, forever*

That's the 60Hz NTSC version though, I was talking 50Hz PAL. :)

control is great with one of these, everyone should have one! :D

...but for the true retro gamer however that still has snes pads lying around (or can manage to find any on eBay): 8)

I'm not sure if emulated Mario Kart lap times using Snes9x or ZSNES will vary greatly from using a real Nintendo though.. :?: :!:

I have no proof but when I owned my first copy of this game (before I sold my original SNES) but my best for Ghost Valley was around 1'09"

Like I said, no proof, but I'm going to try to do this again.

Finally... PURPOSE!

Who said I didn't have long term goals
