My best is 114600, though that was on Crazy Kong (exactly the same AFIAK, apart from the name).

Been practising on my jamma arcade machine and on a good game I get into the 30 000s! I'll keep practising though :)

Just managed to get a PDF download of the book that Steve Wiebe never leaves the house without. So will keep you posted.

Retrojc, have you got a Cab or are you playing on MAME. If MAME what kind of pad / joystick are you using. Been using a Xbox360 pad of late not to bad but not perfect. Got a XArcade in the cupboard but it is such a fuss to get it set up on a permanent basis, due to the size of the dam thing. I only stay in a one bedroom flat..

Haven't practiced that much, but now up to 58 000. Getting better, but slowly... :)

Crazy Kong is nothing like the original Nintendo Donkey Kong - the level order is different, certain hammers are unobtainable and it's much easier due to the barrel patterns being far more predictable. I can get over 60k on Crazy Kong but only around 36k on Donkey Kong...

Would be very interested in seeing this if you don't mind. I can only get up to about 70-80k if I'm lucky!

did anyone see that documentary, 'King of Kong'. Those guys were hitting 1,000,000 points and crashing the game. They were on some new level of geekism... it was a weird culture - like the guy with the highest score was the hardest or something... funny viewing!

It's pretty much required viewing for a retro gamer. Excellent film, even my girlfriend enjoyed it.
