Any Massively Multiplayer online retro remakes?
What retro-type multiplayer on-line games are there?
I've heard of JSW-online, but couldn't ever get it running!
Is there anything else?

Re: Multiplayer retro style online games?
Well, there's NetRacer but that's not really a "retro-type" game since it's an internet-enabled multi player game for several C64s. =-)GarryG wrote:What retro-type multiplayer on-line games are there?
I was thinking more of re-done things like 'JSW-online'. Surely this can't be the only one.
I've found various sites with browser based multiplayer flash/java type games that are based on simple platform games or early arcade games.
Maybe we could make a list of interesting sites?

That shouldn't be taken in any way as in indicator of complexity, more an indication of SirClive's lack of technical abilitySirClive wrote:I couldn't work out how to use kaillera

Ah, I see.
Not exactly what I was looking for then, but an interesting piece of software non-the-less.
I'm more looking for things like my asteroids example that are 'massively multiplayer' and available 'on-line', ether through a web page interface or through client-server peer-to-peer stuff.
I wonder if there's a massively-multiplayer spacewar?

Had a quick look at the web site. Looks interesting, I'll try and have a look this week sometime.Crunchy wrote:Subspace Continuum.
I also had a look at Clan Lord, a very retro-type RPG
Any more? Can be anything arcade or RPG!
