Great 2 Player games for Mega Drive & Snes??

Post by kiniki » Mon Apr 03, 2006 2:15 pm

Hi guys.

After my success introducing my girlfriend to Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine, I am looking for more games for us to play together (yes I note the rudeness of that statement)

Can you suggest any other games for the Mega Drive or Snes that I could look for?

She wouldn't play fighting games like street fighter or racing games.

So far, she likes Dr Robotnik, Pac Attack & Bomberman.

Following on from those, can you suggest any more games?

Funny, I used to get Sega Power every month... I have loads of them. They always said Toejam and Earl was fantastic.

For some reason I never fancied it. Maybe its time to give in and give it a go!

Your GF might not like it but Contra Spirits on the SNES is a awesome two player game.

Not really 2 player, but Dr Mario is one of the few games my wife will play (and beat me too).

And there's always Tetris either the original or one of the multiplayer variants.

She might take to Mario Kart.

Super Mario All Stars is simply lovely, but as a girly she might find Yoshi's Story attractive (I'm not a girly and I do). Single player mind...

Not my cup of tea, but I hear Secret of Mana is a good 2 player RPG.

You must have Sonic 2, right? If so, make sure you play that with her. A bit of slowdown here and there aside, excellent fun that's more than just mindless racing. Just be aware of the special stage: Most of it will be spent jumping to get in front of the other

Oh, and if you two fancy working together then World of Illusion is a cracking co-op Disney platformer.
