Funilly enough those achievements for the 360 are actually the easy achievements! Megaman 9 will also have its own "Challenges" which all 3 versions will have (Wii, PS3, 360) with tasks such as "Reach the boss door without stopping" and the seemingly impossible "Beat the game without taking any damage". The game just keeps getting better and better for me!

That cost will be large, as they're only thinking of making 200 available!

I'll fight you for one, lol :)

Your on! By the looks of all the comments on the site though there certainly seems to be a lot of interest for it. Hopefully Capcom will consider making more than 200 otherwise its going to cost a pretty penny on the secondary market.

Sweet, just seen that too. Kind of sucks that they charge for it but I know I'll download it anyway as its Protoman and he can slide so who am I kidding!
Release dates for the USA are also confirmed: 22nd September for the Wii (Today wooooo!), Thursday 25th of September for the PS3 and nexy Wednesday 1st of October for the 360 version (probably 'cause DN3D is out this week).

Technically no, but The 360 one will be out on the 1st - same as the USA. The Wii aparantly updates Fridays so it might well be this Friday (here's hoping). As for the PS3, your guess is as good as mine! I'm just buying the USA PS3 version on Thursday as I have $10 put by for it :D

Capcom will be milking the game for all its worth, by which I mean they will be releasing a load of DLC through October:

Endless Attack, October 6, 300 Wii Points: "Test your skills on a stage without end. Try to break the record for getting the farthest. Results will be displayed in the Rankings. Not compatible with Challenges."

Proto Man Mode, October 6, 200 Wii points: "Play the game as Proto Man. You can use the shield while jumping. Some of Proto Man's abilities may differ from Mega Man's. There is no story for Proto Man. Not compatible with Rankings or Challenges."

Hero Mode, October 20, 100 Wii Points: "Play the game with a more difficult level of enemy distribution. Not compatible with Rankings or Challenges."

Superhero Mode, October 20, 100 Wii Points: "Play the game with a super difficult level of enemy distribution. Not compatible with Rankings or Challenges."

Special Stage, October 20, 100 Wii Points: "Gives you another Time Attack Stage to try, including a new Boss at the end! Results will be displayed in the Rankings. Not compatible with Challenges."

The new levels are a must, I can't wait to try the endless mode and see how far I can get, as well as seeing who the new boss is (will it be a returning classic boss?). From the impressions I've read so far the game is supposed to be amazing and really difficult. If your a fan of the series you'll love it, if your not then you probably won't. Thursday can't come quick enough!

Yeah MM9 is hard... this is gonna test some people

Two hours last night, on with again tonight!

Wanted to slap someone at work today, they said something to the effect of 'What the hell? I played Mega Man 2 on the NES and it looks exactly the same. Where is the improvement?'

I'm having the best gaming night since I bought my PS3. NHL 09 came through the post today, and this evening I downloaded Wipeout HD and Mega Man 9.

Mega Man 9 is everything I could have wished for. From what I've played so far the levels are classics and the difficulty level is deliciously evil. MM2's position as the series' pinnacle could be in danger.
