How much would you pay for a brand-new Mega Man game? Chances are, unless you hate Mega Man games, or an adorable blue-suited robo-boy busted your jaw when you were in fifth grade, 1000 Wii Points is a fraction of what you would consider a fair price. According to Famitsu, that's the price point for Capcom's new miracle, Mega Man 9. We were actually expecting more for a sequel to a high-profile series like that.

And we'll end up paying more: like Nintendo Power, Famitsu alluded to downloadable content in its latest writeup. There is no information at all except that it's planned, so all we can do is speculate about the possible DLC: weapons, levels, enemies, costumes -- who knows?
Maybe there'll be a slide move DLC? ;)
 I'm hoping for bosses/levels/playable characters ala Powered Up. Nice cheap price as well.

After Capcom saying it was Wii exclusive it now isn't:

http://wii.ign.com/articles/888/888041p1.html

Its now coming out for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. I just wonder if it will be exactly the same over all 3 platforms. Theres also a new trailer on the IGN page as well.

Last night I picked up a rather LARGE retro games bundle.

One of the games in it was MegaMan Soccer for the US SNES.

What's it like??

And is it worth anything?

Boxed or loose? I'm not much of a football fan but it seemed quite enjoyable to play around on. Its price depends on what condition its in, boxed with manual its worth £20+ easily, cartridge I'd say around £10. It wasn't ever released in Europe either which I guess also adds to its rarity.

Loose.

Am gonna write up the complete list of what I got.

Contains a few games that I have either not seen before or are known to be worth a few quid.

Sega DC Marvel Vs Capcom 2 was in the lot too, and complete!

Oh, and Pirates of Darkwater on the SNES. ANyone played this?

Nearing all of them, I'm just short of stuff like the PC games and thats about it (and Megaman 9 which I'll get as soon as it comes out). All that is left are the hard to find collectors edition versions of the battle network games and the Japanese versions of each game simply for completion.

IGN has released a load of screenshots of Megaman 9 showing off 3 of the new Robot Masters (Tornado Man, Magma Man and Concrete Man) as well as the powers Megaman can get from defeating them.
http://uk.media.wii.ign.com/media/142/1 ... mgs_1.html

I love the new Robot Master designs, and as usual the boss fights look like they will be the games highlight for me. It also looked like certain weapons can interact with the environment (such as shot of the concrete shot freezing the lava flow?)
I hope that the other 5 robots are revealed soon, I can't wait for this game to be released this Autumn!

Edit - IGN also has videos of both Plug Man and Concrete Mans levels:

Cool little tease from Capcom's website:

Image
Image

Press kits for Megaman 9 (which should be out next week hopefully :D ) which are modelled after an original Nes release. It doesn't have the game on the cart but does have "a small CD with artwork, game information and screenshots"
Capcom is thinking of doing a limited run of them, if they do I'd be sure to nab one whatever the cost!
