only thing is most of the bundles are rubbish, only one i fancy is the 199.99 @ HMV where you get the wii plus Pro Evo or Sega Tennis.

other than that its 279 for the wii and all the rubbish they cant sell.

Forget peripherals apart from a gun (or just get Links Crossbow challenge and get one free).

Games...

Zelda
Mario Galaxy
Paper Mario
Resident Evil 4
Ghost Squad
No More Heroes
Mario Kart
Zack & Wiki
Pro Evo Soccer

The thing about the Wii is that it's control setup is so adaptive that it doesn't need many peripherals. Most of them are just empty plastic anyway, designed to make the controller slightly more confortable in certain arrangements, but it's fine without them.

Still can't understand the point of those Wii Sports peripherals. Does sticking a little golf club head on the remote really affect gameplay?

You really will get by with no peripherals. What's in the box will do, though second controllers are expensive. Some games, particularly the retro downloads, work with a Gamecube controller though.

Bundles, dunno. I usually avoid bundles. I don't buy a machine unless it already has games I want to play and then I'll just buy the basic unit plus that.

Depends really. Do you like actual, proper racing or prefer getting punished time and time again by the most skill-less, idiotic powerup in a game ever for simply doing well and being out in front? If it's the latter, Mario Kart and its Blue Shells are just the thing for you.

... Actually, I'm just amazed I'm not the only one. I thought Mario Kart had been very well recieved but I'm having an arse of a time completing the 150cc races, you get hit by a red shell, then before you recover it's two Bullet Bills and an invincible Rosalina and you're in last place with the guy who doesn't even deserve to be able to read your rear plate half a lap ahead of you.

So yeah, I way prefer the DS version.

Well said, biggest dissapointment of the year. There are zapper packs for the house of the dead game but I don't think they've got a UK release, which is a shame.

Get a decent gun and a standard control pad for the retro stuff and that should do. Remember you can also plug in gamecube controllers too (though you can't play new Wii games with most of 'em)

Metroid Prime: Corruption and Mortal Kombat Armeggedon are great wii additions also.

Just got a wii fit today and i was quiet surprised about how good it really is, would recommend it!!!

Definately should not be considered a game tho.....(im trying to avoid the whole casual game vs hardcore game issue!)
