The funniest thing about that butt-smack move is that Sanman has it as well. To this day, I have no idea why.
Because he 'bats for the other team'?

Oh no, it's not good? :( I thought it was meant to be as good as the original, but with flashy graphics. Sega should do an FV game for a modern console. :P

Well it's not broken in any way but better graphics alone don't really add anything to the game. There are no moves listed in the manual and no way of calling them up in the training mode which is pretty poor. The original had them in the manual and (possibly - I know it was a feature in Megamix) also in the training mode. Basically you need to remember them from the Saturn game but as far as new moves go...who knows?

Also, the music is crap unlike in the original. Nothing even comes close to the Armstone Town OST from the first Vipers.

So yeah...it IS the first game but with updated graphics but to be honest, I expected a bit more from the DC. If you just want more polygons on Candy then fine but I prefer the original just a bit more.

I really need to get around to reviewing it on my blog and explaining it better.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Soul Calibur... Lizard Man! Some good strong kicks, massive sword-in-the-air stuff, and he's not a human. His statistics say that he's three years old, baby fight!
Guilty Gear... Millia Rage, no arms or legs, just hair.
Smash Bros... Jigglypuff, sends opponents to sleep then does that mad spinning thing to knock them off the edge of the screen.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee... Anguirus, does that really funny jumping backwards thing.
Virtua Fighter 5... El Blaze, crazy lucha guy.
Dead Or Alive... Christie, it looks like she's poking everyone in the eye when she fights.
My comics blog (mostly lesser-known UK stuff from the 80s and 90s)

In Mortal Kombat it's undoubtedly Scorpion. Back in the day I used to stale move the heck out of people with his spear move.

And in Tekken it's Eddie Gordo. He's button bashingly brilliant.

I always felt like she broke the game a bit in the sense that she was too bad compared to everyone else. Maybe the Christie players I faced all sucked, but once they start using those poke combo's I'd basically make mince meat out of them with my basic mid counters.

Yes.

A good Leon/Bayman or other strongman/command thrower is a bloody nightmare if you focus on counters.

Bayman is awesome. Still say Dead Or Alive Ultimate is the best of the series so far.
