The first game featured on Part 2, Namco's version of Star Wars  never even knew that existed, what an odd looking Star Wars game  Still looks good fun though.

It s quite good, but bloody hard. emulate it, and you'll find it is an obscure game, but quite enjoyable

I love Gametrailers - best games site on the net for me. Their retrospectives are brilliant. Particularly enjoyed the Final Fantasy ones.

Nicely done videos from the site as usual. It says they're moving onto the prequel trilogy next, but where are the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games from the PC, and the KotORs? Or even the 'Squadron' games form the N64 and Cube? Lots of stuff missing, in fact, some of which are the most interesting and adored/reviled in the series.

Well, there are around 100 star wars games - I guess they had to leave some out.

You'll notice the games they left out were based primarily in the expanded universe. They were focussing on games based on the movies. Sure Shadows of the Empire has the Hoth level, X-Wing has the trench run, but they're for the most part expanded universe games.

Loving the retropsective here. Can't wait till the next episode next week.

Of course, but not some of the best and most famous, surely.

Edit: Replying to Overheat, but Dizrythmia makes a good point :)

I look forward to that. Some of the best Star Wars games don't belong in the main Saga, like the X-Wing/Tie Fighter games and KOTOR.

Has anyone played Star Wars: Rebel Assault? An early CD-ROM game; very impressive visuals, weak gameplay (as usual with these games).
