Nintendo 64 bundle Good or Bad?

Post by pantal00ns » Fri Mar 14, 2008 4:16 am

Know very little about the N64 but hopefully picking up one today with the following:

2 Controllers + Expansion pack with the folowing games

Super Mario6
Zelda: Ocarina ofTime
Diddy Kong Racing
MarioKart64
Rugrats Treasure Hunt
Banjo-Kazooie
Lylat Wars
Jet Force Gemini

Obvioulsy Mario and Zelda are a given but are the rest worth keeping?

I can take an educated guess that Rugrats Treasure Hunt is not worth keeping!

Apart from rugrats thats an extremely good N64 bundle. Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing are 2 superb racing games (Diddy has one hell of a good single player mode to), Lylat Wars is one of my favorites and probably the best Star Fox game ever released, and Banjo & Kazooie and Jet Force Gemini are 2 more fantastic games by RARE so yes it is a great bundle to start off with. All it needs is a copy of Blast Corps now!

Jet Force Gemini is a wicked game.

Criminally under-rated too.

Throw out Rugrats and add GoldenEye and Perfect Dark and you have the perfect bundle.

You cannot ask for anymore in terms of what you are given to start with, as they all considered to be the must own games for the N64...except Rugrats Treasure Junt ofcourse. Had I not said that then I would have been at the receiving end of a slap on the head per every forum member.

Mate you will not go wrong with an N64. It had some absultely superb titles, and is still one of the best machines around for platform games.

Super Mario6
Zelda: Ocarina ofTime
Diddy Kong Racing
MarioKart64
Rugrats Treasure Hunt
Banjo-Kazooie
Lylat Wars
Jet Force Gemini

That is a superb list, you will have a LOT of fun with them games.

I wish I'd never played them before and could play through them fresh. Also make sure you get Pilotwings 64!!

Might be time to get the N64 out for a stint...it is my personal fave machine of all time!
Anyway, nice starter pack you've got there, Rugrats is really the only duff game in the lot. You've got some good games there :)
