Sadly I have BINNED a lot of my retro stuff in my youth - it wasn't retro stuff then, it was 'last years toys', however have just moved into a bigger house, and have already bagsied my Games Room, and apart from eventually moving my 'current' consoles (ones that I actually use) up there, I am going to have a display cabinet of some sort in there too, with all my favourite systems in there, including hopefully 1 example of every type of Spectrum.
When younger, whenever I got something new, the older model fell out of favour and got trashed.

So far -
Sold my ZX81 for 20 quid in 1984
Trashed my rubber key Spectrum when I got the +2 in '87.Eventually threw it away....
+2 gathered dust and got binned after I got my Amiga 500.
Sold the 500 to fund a 1200
Sold the 1200 to get a Playstation
Everything since the Playstation I have kept- I have now learnt my lesson.

I don't regret selling either Amiga - they both went to a good cause, i.e. a better machine. I DO regret trashing my +2. there was nowt wrong with it The 48 had seen much better days though.
Strangely, I have clung on to my broken tabletop Astro Wars....?

On a side note - other childhood/retro stuff I wish I still had-
Easily 200 original Spectrum games.
The haf-ton of Lego my Dad gave away when I was 11. Cheers Dad.
All my Computer Mags - loads of Speccy stuff, mainly Crash, but C&VG, SU, YS etc - they were all in there. Currently buying all of these back on DVD though. And I still have my Crash 1987 in it's binder!
And the star prize has to go to my Dad once again, who felt that the first 300 issues of 2000AD (mint condition) were far too bulky to stick in the back of a removal van when I was only 12. I still wake up screaming about that one.
They went TO THE TIP.

Let me see now... Commodore Plus/4, Sinclair QL, Commodore PET 4032, Acorn Electron, Amiga 600. All were working and went due to lack of use and/or space. I also regret getting rid of my original Spectrum 48K, and my first Psion 3a, but both were faulty at the time so I don't know if I'd count them.

Sold my woody 2600 with twenty-odd games, all boxed with instructions for £40 circa 1985 and it pains me to think about now.

Have since acquired a 7800 and another woody but will probably never get the amount of boxed games (which is a weakness of mine) I had back then without spending big at somewhere like telegames.co.uk

Got rid of my NES collection after sampling the wonderful nesterDC and have no regrets about that though.

I too had the 1st 300 issues of 2000AD - they were left outside in garden one summers day and got soaked in the rain.

I regret selling my Amiga A500 (Cartoon Classics) for £50 back in about 1995/96. I had a load of stuff for it which I'd probably never find again. I bought another one recently on eBay, mainly to play Supercars II, but I still regret getting rid of my old one.

I do regret selling my old BBC B setup in 89, just because I miss the SMELL of everything....
