Bargain Bins

Post by redleader28 » Tue Mar 14, 2006 9:27 am

I recently popped into my local GAME to see what they had in. While looking in the bargin bin I managed to find a mint copy of Zone of the Enders for £1.99.
It's the best £1.99 I've ever spent.

Anybody on here found a gem in a bargin bin??

Tempest 2000 in the 'bargain bin' at the HMV in Rotherham about 18 months ago. Cost a pitiful 99p, and it's played at least an hour per week without fail.

Found a copy of Fifa on the 32x in Toys r Us for 49p. I forget how long ago it was but the PS2 had been out for a couple of months.

Either play.com or Amazon had one of the PS2 TimeSplitters games for under £5. Highly recommended (but I have them all already).

I take it it's the PSX version, which I've never seen in the United States. Been looking for it, though. Do you know how similar it is to the Jaguar version? I used to love that game, but alas, it was the only thing to love about the Jag. I sold it off before the move to NYC.

Ah no, it was the PC version I'm afraid! Although the one odd feature is, despite it being sealed up, the instruction manual harps on about the Sega Saturn version!

I've always been tempted to pick up a Jaguar, purely to play Tempest 2000 as was originally intended.

R-Type 3? the GBA version? The version Irem stupidly gave a US studio development rights to so they could screw up the colllision?

(The US studio previously did a - crap - Wing Commander game for the advance)

I think it's TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. I got that delivered from Play for £4.98 a couple of months ago. Definitely worth it.

I also bought a copy of Xenosaga 2 from Play for £7.99 and the afternoon after I'd ordered it they put the price up to £9.99. :D
