I thought all wrestling clichés were not that strong across the Channel (that's the UK for me... )
If you don't like wrestling, I guess it's only logical that you wouldn't like wrestling games... so why denigrate them?...
You can't compare a game like Tekken or Street Fighter to a wrestling game... especially the Smackdown series. This is like comparing GTA to Gran Turismo... yes, there are a few similarities (cars for GTA and GT, fighters for Tekken/any wrestling game) but it's not supposed to be played the same way...

Anyway, back to the real (and more interesting) subject:
I've played Warzone on N64 and I think it's pretty good... but I like the Smackdown series a lot more... The Smackdown series is in my opinion very good, even though the last 3 aren't much of an improvement, but I'm a big wrestling fan...

Never tried No Mercy or Wrestlemania 2000, though I'd love to... but from all the wrestling games I've tried (I own about 20 games), most of them aren't really fun... even when you're a wrestling fan...

No Mercy is fantastic. Even double team moves like the Doomsday device are in there. Ladder match is awsome too. No Hell in a Cell though. Create a wrestler mode is VERY comprhensive and you can even have a friend play as special ref..
Bring back Thingy and Rockford!!! Zzap 64 liberation front!!! :):):)

You need to get away from the WWE wrestling games and look at others. Granted, it's difficult, but there's a whole loada other brand wrestling games out there.

Best retro wrestling game? Speccy Rock 'n' Wrestle or Wrestlefest arcade. Great stuff.

Not sure about the Speccy version of Rock 'n' Wrestle it only had half the oponents of the 64 version, HAL Wrestling on the Gameboys pretty decent if a little basic as well.

He's in Legends of Wrestling 2 (the European version), along with Kendo Nagasaki, Giant Haystacks and Mick McManus...

But there's at least 2 people on here that will back you up, well I'm assuming Merman will but I certainly will.

It's good fun, and you get to act out those impossible matches that will never happen... British Bulldog v Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy v Hulk Hogan...
