PSP games -- can't import?

Post by Spiff » Sun Oct 14, 2007 5:55 am

Presumably because of the Lik-Sang debacle, most import sellers won't send PSP games to the UK. The only one I know who does is DVD Box Office but they don't have Parodius and Salamander -- any sites to recommend who do ship to the UK?

Ta.

Oops, sorry, I didn't check.

They did have Parodius for sure a while back though, so it may be worth checking again in the future, or even sending them a quick mail, the staff are very friendly...

Sony didn't like the fact that we could import PSP games for cheaper and before they were out in this country hence the cease and disist to all import outlets. Lik Sang ignored Sony and eventually when Sony took them to court they were run out of business (or something long those lines).
Unfortunately it means eBay is the only way to get import PSP games.

£24 ppd - not too bad. Can't work out why the other seller is charging £20 for postage??

Haven't tried lately but before it's told me to remove them from my basket at the checkout stage.

No luck at movietyme at the minute; that eBay listing's more reasonable than others I've seen.

Ta, all!

So, what japanese PSP games can you guys recommend, provided that I can't read the language? So I'd basically go for bullethell shooters or retro compilations if there are any...?

There are several shoot 'em up compilations on PSP from Japan. I'm no expert though as I prefer fighters.

And if the original point of the thread still stands, why bother with importers when you can get the games from ebay international sellers? Maybe it'll be a couple of quid more expensive but if you're an importer then you must already be hardcore enough to go that extra mile.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

How much are you looking to spend for Parodius?

EDIT: never mind, just saw how old this thread is :D
