Nobody has had that yet have they?[/quote]

Nope. Good to see someone put this in the list.

It's still a cracking game even now. :D

Oh yes! And wouldn't it make a great DS game? Head and Heels split over the two screens?

Whereas Batman was a good game but still looked and played like an Ultimate game (and was just as unforgiving in places) Head Over Heels advanced the genre and actually takes alot of the kudos and polish away from the Ultimate games which in themselves were stunning for their time.

Or one screen used for a dynamic map that builds up as you move around the map. I always thought UK publishers in particular missed a trick with the GBA, which was the perfect platform for bringing back old classics, in a budget capacity (£15 or so); sure, a few arrived (Speedball 2, IK+, Wings), but the potential for grabbing old gamers was largely left untapped (so, thanks for homebrew, eh?). I suspect the same will be true of the DS, but imagine an updated Stunt Car Racer for DS, still with filled vector graphics, but now with more tracks, more cars on the track, and one screen taken up by stats, the maps, and the position of the racers... Actually, that gives me an idea for a new thread...

(Next one on the list: #45.)

This seems to have come to a bit of a dead end!

Maybe you should have a re-think on the one vote per person......... two votes should give us 100

Your all in to much of a hurry.....

BUT - if this little chart slips onto page 2, then peeps wont see it! Needs plenty of 'Bumps' to keep it near the top...... or better still, make it a sticky!

And it will never be a 'definative' list - its just a list of forum members liked games - and if we have to wait for another 2 months for 45 more entries - dont you think interest will slide away?

Twas only a suggestion to have 2 votes - then maybe someone could set up a kinda legue to play through them.... or or or or or maybe not

I agree.. We should be allowed another vote each because otherwise this list will never be complete.

It has just seemed to slow down to a grinding halt.

ANOTHER VOTE EACH FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY VOTED. :D

Yes, I agree with those who disagree. :?

That is, I think we should stick with the one vote each policy.

I'll email Darran about the possibility of making this a "sticky" thread, and also to see whether he and the other in-house lads might add their choice to the list. Frankly, I'm not bothered if this takes another month or two to get to the elusive final choice—it's not like we're in a hurry. I don't think giving everyone another vote would make sense, though (and if we did at this stage, a bunch of people wouldn't get the chance anyway).

Not too late for me to vote, is it? Alrighty then :)

45. Lemmings (Acorn Archimedes)

I've stated my love for the game in the Archimedes thread, so I'll be tedious and go on about it again... But quite frankly, it's a game that deserves praise. I've lost so many hours to guiding those mindless rodents, the sheer compulsion of saving them is immense. Coupled with some very imaginitive design ("Lost Something?" was a stroke of genius!) and memorable music (Ten green Bottles, standing on the wall!) make this a rightly loved classic.

Just to point out: The post word limit seems to have struck on the first post, it's cut off the second half of #45 and #44's no where to be seen.

Ah, nuts. Only way around this is to edit Morkin's post, so I hope he doesn't mind.
