Bioshock

I have just played through the demo and can honestly say it is the scariest game I have ever played. I was censored myself the whole way through. I thought it was great but reall don't think I could cope with the full game :?

Whilst it is a very good game i don't think its the masterpiece evryones making it out to be. its not scary but has some very freaky and surreal bits in it.

Well worth a play though.

I'm also in the 'overrated' camp. Got about 5-6 hours through and just couldn't be bothered any more.

I felt the same about FEAR - just not at all scary for me

He probably means his Steam account is down so the game won't start up. I am planning on getting it, but I am going on holiday soon and have been busy so haven't had chance to get it yet. It probably does look like it is going to be game of the year (at least for the PC), but I have to admit it might be over hyped.

In my defence, I am not into FPSers in the slightest, so am not used to this kind of creeping around a deserted world kind of game. It is certainly the most scary game I have played, but that may be a reflection on the limited number of scary games I have played.

Stay well clear of Doom 3 if youre finding Bioshock scary.

Bioshock is an impressive gameworld, so glad to see designers can realise such enviroments. Halfway through the PC version, have to say its very good with some great set pieces.

I haven't played Bioshock, but Doom 3 was terrifying! I couldn't play it too long without taking a break; it's the scariest game I've ever played.

Scariest game ever?
Possibly Dungeon Master - the first time you're awoken by a mummy hissing at you is truly terrifying

Also that Clive Barker game Realms Of The Haunting
