So you can but two boxed games for 1p les than the price of an unboxed cartridge!?

Or you can splash out on 4 unboxed cartrages for £10 or get 5 boxed cartrages for £9.95!?

So who needs shotin that shop?

That's always been the case at GS, they've never updated the unboxed price on the system.

I have window-shopped at Glasgow GS on numerous occasions. It seems like the retro console prices have gone batshit ever since the Game takeover. Saw a NES for £60 not so long ago.

sorry , are you saying the price is good or bad?

The DC and SNES bundles sound quite good value to me

Does this mean we could get more money if we traded in our retro stuff. Actually I doubt it somehow.

That SNES bundle sounds worth it but GS pricing often seems totally random.

The DC sounds good too - obviously depends on the games , but if there's 16 then surely there'll be stuff like Virtua Tennis , Crazy Taxi , Code Veronica , Soul Calibur , MSR etc. £99 works out about £25 for the console , then £3 each for the controllers, VMUs and games (alhough why anyone would want 4 controllers is debatable)

I doubt you'd get a similar set up on Ebay for less

I got my first Dreamcast off ebay fully boxed like new, boxed extra pad, boxed rod controler, 2x boxed VMU's and 14 boxed excellent games (well 2 or 3 were gash) all for £50 including post. That was about 8 months ago. I only shopped around for about 4 days. Maybe could have got one cheaper but this had the games I wanted.

There was an unboxed Neo Geo with 1 game (NAM somthing?) and 1 pad for about £200 in the one near me. I asked if they would accept less and the guy laughed and said he could sell it on ebay for that or more! hmm, dont know which ebay he's been using

But I cant lay into gamestation too much as Ive had hundreds of complete Master System games from them for £1 each :D

That would be NAM-1975. One of the earliest Neo-Geo titles, possibly even the first ever. It's a bit like Cabal/Blood Bros. Not a terrible game, but hardly demonstrative of the machine's full capabilities.

No the trade in prices have gone down the pan since the start of the year. Last time i traded in some stuff i was told it was 10p on boxed megadrive games and they tried that on a friend trading in a copy of Phantasy Star 3. I think it something like £6 trade in on a snes which isn't that great.

The GS pricing policy seems to be random. On another forum, there was an exciting thread about Gs's '10 games for £10' deal. I went into the GS at Gateshead asking about this deal and the staff looked at me like I was insane.
Thoughts and prayers.
