I'd have to go with Adventures of Batman and Robin (by Konami) for the Snes. Since I am a big fan of the animated series I was extremely impressed with how Konami managed to capture the look of the show with wonderful graphics and animation as well as a variety of gadgets to use.
But the 1 thing I loved more than the above was the fact that each level was based around an episode of the series such as the 1st levels battle with the Joker on the rollercoster or my favourite level with the Riddlers VR computer game.

The other Batman game I have put serious time into was the original gameboy game which I still play at least once every year as it is a great little run and gun/platform game, I also vaguely remember playing the Amiga version but only have the box to hand at the mo and can't for the life of me find the disc!

Definitely The Adventures of Batman & Robin. Batman Returns (SNES) is my 2nd favorite.

So now we have Lego Batman, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe and Batman Arkham Asylum to consider...

I also wonder why 'The Dark Knight' never received a video game? Surely this would has been a certain cash cow? I heard Warner Bros were working on a sandbox type game but it never got off the ground...

Much as I love the old speccy versions I played the mega cd 16 bit version of Batman Returns the most.

Pandemic Studios Brisbane was widely rumored to be hard at work on a video game adaptation of 2008's The Dark Knight. That project, while never officially announced, was also said to be canceled. Speaking to a second source familiar with the project late last year, we learned that a lack of direction and an already massive budget may have lead to EA cutting its losses.

I am really looking forward to Batman Arkham Asylum. I don't want to get my hopes up to much as several others have let me down in the past but it does look somewhat promising.

My 2 favs are not on the list:

Batman: Return of the Joker (Sunsoft) 1992 Gameboy
Batman (Atari Games) 1990 Arcade based on the movie.

Fantastic games.
WANTED: ANY SNES or GAMEBOY GAMES, OR EMPTY BOXES, INSTRUCTION MANUALS or WHITE INNER TRAYS, going for FULL SETS of both.

I never got to play that one in an arcade, but it looks and sounds amazing even today: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YBt10ypkAhg

Have played almost all of them, but my vote goes to Batman: The Movie on the 8-bits, particularly the Speccy version with it's superb 128K music that captured the feel of the film perfectly (with honrouble mention to the 16-bit Amiga version and it's fab 3D vehicle sections).

Although I'm partly biased because the original Tim Burton movie is still my favourite interpretation of Batman on screen too. 8)

The music on the Batwing level is amongst the best I've ever heard. All 8-bit versions of that tune are worth seeking out.

Well my first Amiga computer was the Batman pack so i have to vote for that version.

Fantastic game, fantastic visuals and SFX.

Gosh, all these threads really bring a retro tear to the ole glass eye, i mean, there is nothing better than firing up the old hardware to play a game, but laziness kicks in, and lack of electrical sockets etc and emulation wins again!
Failure isn't about falling down, failure is staying down.
