Yep, it looks great. I hope it plays as good. Also, MGS 4, GTA 4, Heavenly Sword, Rainbow Six Vegas, Rock Band and Resident Evil 5 all look good, too.
I just need to get a PS3 and a big HD TV.

I didn't 'feel' the controls on the first one at all. It was 'space left side of the head' or 'space right side of the head' when you tried to shoot someone.

Killzone on the PSP was absolute aces. Killzone on the PS2 was a brilliant first level, followed by several levels of ...yawn. Having said that, I gave up by about the 3rd. If they have taken some of the elements of the PSP version and blended it with the first level of the original then HALLELUJAH BROTHER I WANT IT NOW! However in all likely hood their objective has been to make a Gears of War clone out of it, so the doubting-Thomas in me knows it will be sh*t.
I'm look forward to Wangan Midnight, which is in the post as I type!

Err, I don’t think you’ll get much excitement about a PS3 game here!

Can I admit to being excited to hear that TimeSplitters 4 is in the making?
Now I only need a PS3...

Another run-off-the-mill FPS?
Published by a quite evil corporation, that considers their customers to be so stupid that white gangsta rap performed by a 30 year old advertising guy is good marketing?
Oh, and then there's this small "note" about the graphics:

No matter how much I try, I find it impossible to munster any excitement over this game.

I'll consider getting a PS3 when it's 300 quid cheaper and has a couple of Wipeout games and a proper controller.

Err, wrong message boards, gamestm and all things current-gen is that-a-way

.
But to answer your question, no I'm not excited about Killzone 2 at all. First one was mediocre at best and no doubt Killzone 2 will be no different, save for being a visual showcase for the PS3.
