Worst Game to movie Adaptation

Post by redleader28 » Mon Feb 20, 2006 9:19 am

For me the worst game to movie adaptation would have to be Super Mario Brothers. I mean it was so bad and they could have done so much more. They should have cast Cpt Lou Albano as Mario as he was Mario in the cartoon series.

Bob Hoskins was terrible: 'Luigi, we got WOIIIIK!'

The film version of Wing Commander was uninspired. Not even the great Jurgen Prochnow could save it from mediocrity.

Pretty much anything by Uwe Bolle is going to be utterly, utterly horrible. And not in a good way.

In my personal opinion, Resident Evil. I don't care for new storylines and whatnot, I wanted the original stuff!

Exactly, it didn't feel like Resident Evil, it felt like another 'action' cash-in with a Resident Evil badge.

For those who have played the original Resident Evil - watch the starting movie and you'll see what I was expecting/hoping for! :D

You mean a shakey camera, z-list actors and a script so bad you'd thought it was written by a five year old....What am I saying? it's perfect, call the academy awards, we have a winner.

I have yet to see a good game-to-film tie-in that's actually any good, apart from the SF2 anime film, but that's slightly different.
