Mr Driller drill land Switch, ive been tempted in getting the GameCube version in the past but it had a MAJOR problem, it liked to wipe memory cards
The Gamecube exclusive version was only released in Japan... and while you can play on a PAL Gamecube (with the freeloader) it will wipe your memory card like you say! The best way to enjoy it is through a Japanese Gamecube (you can use all your PAL cables, plugs etc, so easy to set up if you just buy the base unit). :D

Or... just buy the Switch version in English!

Wasn't that just a thing common to import Cube games, that JPN games on an EU system needed a JPN formatted memory card? As long as you use a card specifically for JPN games it was ok.

I didnt play a lot of Jap games on mine (mod chipped) so never experienced it, but it was frustrating to have all my Pac-Man world rally unlocks gone

That was the general rule, yes. But for some reason, with Mr Driller it would always wipe your memory card when playing on a PAL machine. The game was still perfectly playable, but if you wanted to save you'd need a JAP console.

Currently playing through the 37 (that's THIRTY-SEVEN) new C64 games released in Reset magazine's 4K competition.
Squeezing a game into 4K is amazing.

8) Oh my I just got ordered off of ebay for under £4 with free postage one of the ol' WWF Wrasslin Games for the Mega Drive!!!
I am really excited!
Hopefully it will work though as it's a Genesis Copy, not a Mega-Drive!
Even if it doesn't work I am still bloody excited and thrilled!

I also bidded on Fifa 96 Boxed but got outbid.

I picked up a front loading NES, 5 games, and found a 27 inch CRT on the side of the road to hook it up to!

I've been playing a lot of Trojan on Nintendo, might speedrun it now that I can beat it !

ESP Rade came through the post, very happy with all the options and modes :) I’m still holding out hope that at some point more Cave stuff, especially Pink Sweets, gets this treatment

Had some Amazon vouchers so I finally got around to adding The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers Vol.3 to the bookshelf. First two volumes were fantastic, so I'm glad that all the remaining material used for Vol.3 didn't go to waste in the end.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.
